Mylo chief digital officer Monica Wilkens named to 2019 Women Who Mean Business

KANSAS CITY, MO, June 19, 2019 – Monica Wilkens, chief digital and marketing officer for digital insurance broker Mylo, has been recognized as one of Kansas City’s most accomplished and influential businesswomen by the Kansas City Business Journal’s 2019 Women Who Mean Business.

This prestigious honor, now in its 20th year, is awarded to women who have made significant leadership contributions to their businesses and community. Only 25 women are selected through a rigorous nomination process that weighs not only their professional achievements but also their impact on the Kansas City community and the advancement of women in business.

Monica led the launch of industry-disrupting digital insurance broker Mylo for Lockton Companies in 2015, drawing on two decades of forward-thinking strategic leadership for Helzberg Diamonds, Willowbrook Partners and Lockton.

Combining big picture vision, a laser focus on customer needs and a highly empathetic leadership style, Monica has helped Mylo deliver three years of month-over-month double-digit revenue growth. This is Monica’s fourth leadership award in three years. She was honored on two consecutive TechWeek 100 lists in 2017 and 2018 for her significant contributions to Kansas City’s innovation community. And she received national recognition for her achievements in transforming the insurance industry on Insurance Business America’s 2019 Hot 100 list.
