Monica was selected because of her role as a pioneering leader who created the Mylo brand and helped launch a digital insurance startup from Lockton, the world’s largest independent broker. She is honored for setting standards for today’s Chief Marketing Officers, including blending data and creativity, inspiring a risk-taking culture and staying “insanely curious” about customer needs in order to deliver personalized solutions.
Industry Era selected Monica from a pool of over 200 CMO nominations provided by industry leaders and peers. From there, a seasoned market research team determined the top 50 contenders by analyzing data to evaluate each leader’s industry standing and influence. In the final two rounds, a panel of CEOs, CIOs and venture capitalists joined Industry Era’s editorial board in selecting the year’s 10 best.
This honor joins four other leadership awards Monica earned over three years. In 2017 and 2018, she won placement on the TechWeek 100 for her contributions to the innovation community. In 2019, she was recognized for transforming the insurance industry on the Insurance Business America Hot 100. That same year, she was named to the Kansas City Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business as one of Kansas City’s 25 most accomplished and influential businesswomen.
