Lockton (and Mylo) named a Best Place to Work (again)!
We were so proud to learn that Lockton has been named a Best Place to Work in Insurance by Business Insurance magazine for the eleventh straight year.
Not to brag (well, maybe a little) but Lockton has received this honor every year that it has existed. This program recognizes employers for outstanding performance in establishing workplaces where employees can thrive, enjoy their work and help their companies grow. (The winners are based in part on a survey of employees, which means that Lockton Associates all over the world agree.)
Lockton was also recently named one of America’s Best Employers by Forbes for the 3rd year in a row and added to Forbes’ list of America’s Best Employers for Diversity.
All of us at Mylo are proud of the heritage we’ve adopted from our parent company Lockton, which has helped us create a culture that values passionate, creative, fun problem solvers. Mylo Associates know how to celebrate wins, work through challenges and find ways to lift up each other and our communities. (It’s all part of #MyloLife.)
So what makes it so great here?
Culture of Caring:
Lockton’s philosophy of #WeLiveService! is the foundation for team members who not only care about each other but also about our clients and community. We cheer each other through challenges and celebrate our wins together. Mylo Associates volunteer and donate together through fundraisers and company-sponsored events. Last year, our 110 team members raised $15,000+ for United Way during our annual fundraiser.
“I’m grateful to work at a company where wellness is a priority, where there is a community that encourages each other to stay healthy and where every associate can earn rewards for taking care of themselves.” – Mindy Templeton
Mylo team members win rewards for tracking healthy behaviors like exercising and getting check-ups. And we get to keep an Apple Watch for free, as long as we use it! Plus we participate in fitness events like Yoga Lunch Breaks, Lockton’s Fall into Fitness Workout Challenge, the Corporate Challenge games, fundraiser runs/walks/bike rides and sports leagues.
"I really enjoy the freedom and empowerment that comes from working at Mylo. Using Holacracy and self-management principles, Mylo puts the people closest to the work in positions to quickly address and solve problems that arise. This drives change and makes us better day after day." – Matt Phillip
Holacracy is an organizational “operating system” that helps companies migrate to a more self-managed work environment and adapt more quickly to the needs of the business. Mylo was especially drawn to this guiding principle of Holacracy: people doing the work are in the best position to influence how that work should be done.
Smart and Fun People:
“Nerf gun wars,” said Jeremy Lee.
“Nerf gun wars,” said Andrea Rosen.
“Nerf gun wars,” said Niki French.
We do like our Nerf guns and have even 3D-printed them! But it’s not just the Nerf guns – it’s the fact that we hire like-minded people who are friendly, creative, talented, motivated and fun. So we truly enjoy both working and hanging out with each other!
A great team = great success
We’ve adopted Lockton’s belief that our success is a result of the strength of our team. We enjoy the freedom, resources and personal responsibility to meet our clients’ needs. This entrepreneurial spirit and performance-driving commitment keeps us motivated and our clients satisfied (one more brag, sorry: Lockton won the 2018 J.D. Power award for highest-ranking broker in client satisfaction).
We’re always looking for more contagiously upbeat people to join our team! Whether you’re a seasoned sales professional or a recent graduate with a passion for helping others and doing things differently, we’d like to meet you.
